Jackie's diverse 23 year nursing career has led her to the discovery of the healing practice of Mindfulness- Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). MBSR combines the ancient contemplative traditions of the east with the modern discoveries of western medicine. This melding of east and west runs true in her blood, having a mother from New Delhi and a father with German - Swiss heritage. Wanting something more to offer to her patients than pills and simply treating the symptoms of illness, she sees MBSR as going to the cause and giving people something sustainable that they can use throughout their entire life. She agrees that MBSR is the next most important public health initiative of our time.
